I do concur. Ward against Elements helps too.

Note:Not only in Ring of Fire, but in Titan quests also.

Water elementalists are very strong in PvP, because movement becomes so valuable there. They aren't very useful in PvE, as movement really isn't an important part of the game there.

Peace,

WE use a water ele as our flag runner in GVG.

With armor of frost and mist form you are unstoppable.

With ice prison you can slow down the enemy flag runner.

Actualy its allmost like cheating.

I run a water ele in PvE as well as PvP. I use curses from my necro secondary. The fact that almost all skills deal damage as well as applying a hex means that you can get some nice damage off soul barbs, and cover up any hex to the extent that even a full party of monks couldn't pull them all off in time. Also, Blurred Vision is bad enough against warriors, but when you drop Price of Failure too, they may as well not attack at all.

The main problem with Water is that it requires a sound team who know how to react to snares. Annoucing to your monk that you are casting ice spikes isn't going to help unless he/she knows that's the cue to move away from that warrior.
